Why purify my stones?

When you have natural stones, one of the first things to know and do is to purify them, because indeed the stones in contact with the body and the people around you are charged with negative energies, which is why this step is necessary for the stones to regain their positive energies.

When should I recharge them?

Natural stones worn

As soon as they are worn, natural stones charge more or less quickly in negative energies, depending on what you are doing and who you are with. This is why if you wear your stones every day we advise you to purify them 1 to 2 times a month minimum.

Natural stones in your home (minerals)

The minerals present in your home, being placed on furniture, will charge less quickly in negative energies than the jewelry that you wear on you every day. These minerals are mainly used to purify the atmosphere in your home of all bad energies. We advise you to purify and recharge them 5 to 6 times a year. (approximately every 2 months)

After a meditation session

Certain stones or minerals can be used during your relaxation or meditation sessions. If this is the case, we advise you to purify and recharge them after each session because the stones will have absorbed more negative energies than in normal times.

How to purify my stones?

There are different types of purification, we will detail below 3 of the simplest known purifications: Salt, Incense and Water.

Salt purification

Salt purification is one of the best known in the world of Lithotherapy because it can be applied to all natural stones that you have. It consists of taking coarse salt (marine or Himalayan if possible) and depositing it at the bottom of a container. Then take your jewelry and place them in a glass that you will in turn place in the container with coarse salt. Leave your jewelry like this overnight, the salt will absorb bad energies. Following this operation, do not keep the salt and dilute it with tap water or bury it in the earth. Then recharge your jewelry in the light of the sun or the moon (see the correspondence table below)

Incense purification

There are several types of incense to purify your jewelry but we recommend Palo Santo or Sage which are both powerful natural purifiers. The procedure is simple, light your Palo Santo or Sage using a lighter or a candle (be sure to place them in receptacles designed for this or which cannot catch fire to avoid any major risks) then place your jewelry near the incense. Leave these as long as the incense burns, when finished, your jewelry is purified. All you have to do is throw away the ashes of your incense and put your jewelry to recharge. The advantage of incense (Palo Santo and Sage) is that it also purifies the interior of your home of all negative energies.

Water purification

Water purification has also been known for a very long time and is certainly one of the simplest. You can immerse your stones in a container filled with water for 1 to 2 hours or place your stones under running water for a few minutes. But be careful, not all stones go in water, some could have problems such as oxidation or dissolution (check the table below to know the stones that go in water). If ever you have the possibility of finding a natural source, do not hesitate to immerse your stones in it for a few minutes to purify them. Once again after this purification, you will have to recharge your stones in the sun or the moon.

How do I recharge my stones?

Reloading is an important and necessary step following the purification, it allows the stone (s) to be recharged with positive energies. There are several ways to recharge your stones and we will list them for you below.

Reloading by Geode (Crystalline Cluster)

It is currently our favorite and safest way to reload stones. It is the concentration of crystals within the same geode (or crystalline cluster) that will recharge your natural stones by simple contact. All you need to do is place your jewelry on the geode for a minimum of 2 to 6 hours (12 hours being ideal) for them to recharge. We recommend that you use either a Quartz or Amethyst Geode.

Recharging in the Sun

Recharging by the sun is in itself very simple, after having purified your jewelry with one of the above means, you just need to place your jewelry in the sun for half a day (a minimum of 8 hours is ideal), please consult the table below to find out which stones can recharge in the sun.

Reloading at the Moon

Same principle as recharging in the sun except that this time it is a question of placing your jewelry in full light to recharge them. In the same way, find out below which stones are recharged in the light of the full moon.
